Just One Reader's Opinion!

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week’s topic is:

Top Ten Popular Authors I’ve Never Read

I read a lot of books, and there are still some authors whose books I’ve never picked up. I even own books by some of these authors but for whatever reason just haven’t read them yet. Here are the top ten popular authors I could think of whose books I’ve never read:

1. Julie Kagawa

A lot of my blogging friends love her books but I’ve never read any of them.

2. Stephen King

When I was younger I definitely tried to read a couple of his books but could never finish (usually because I was too scared to go on!).

3. Margaret Atwood

I know many of my fellow Canadians read some of her books in high school, but not me. I really want to read some of her books but just haven’t done it yet.

4. Katherine Longshore

I own Gilt and really want to read Manor of Secrets, but haven’t actually read any of these.

5. Alyson Noel

I think I own a couple of her books in e-book format but haven’t actually read them yet. I was just checking out Goodreads and boy, she’s written a ton of books!

6. C.J. Redwine

I really really really want to read her Defiance series, and with the final book coming out this year, maybe I should try and binge read the series.

7. Katie McGarry

I feel like the only blogger who hasn’t read any of her books! I just don’t know if they’re my kind of book, but then I think what if I would love them and I’m missing out?? Ah, book anxiety.

8. Trish Doller

Another one where I feel like the only blogger who hasn’t read anything by this author. I tend not to be a huge lover of contemporary fiction – I am more drawn to paranormal, sci-fi, fantasy, and historical fiction – but her books get lots of love from bloggers whose opinions I respect, so now I’m curious and wonder if I should give her books a try.

9. Sara Zarr

I do own two of her books (Sweethearts and Roomies, written with Tara Altebrando), and I really want to read them, but as with most books I’ve bought in the last year or so, they are still sitting untouched on my bookshelves. I should remedy that.

10. Kasie West

I own / have an ARC of some of her books (Pivot Point, The Distance Between Us, On the Fence). What is wrong with me???

What about you? Are there any popular authors whose books you’ve yet to read? Are there any of these that I should absolutely try and read next? Let me know in the comments!

I wound up enjoying this book so much that I immediately bought the rest of the books in the series and read them all one right after the other!
