Just One Reader's Opinion!

Week In Review

March 23 – 29

I think the end of winter is finally in sight, despite the snow we had this week. I’m really looking forward to doing some summer reading out on the balcony! And with the new condo being (hopefully) ready for us to move into at the end of the summer/early autumn, I’ve been examining my bookshelves, thinking about culling some of my library.

But for now, I keep adding to it! I picked up a few books this week:

The Walls Around Us, by Nova Ren Suma;

The Alex Crow, by Andrew Smith;

The Raven Boys and The Dream Thieves, by Maggie Stiefvater (The Raven Cycle is my favourite series, but I didn’t own physical copies of these books);

In a Handful of Dust, by Mindy McGinnis; and

When Everything Feels Like the Movies, by Raziel Reid.

I also received an ARC of The Girl at Midnight by Melissa Grey, from my book club, and an ARC of If I Fall, If I Die by Michael Christie, from my friend Katie (thank you!).

I finished reading two books that I loved this past week: an ARC of All the Rage, by Courtney Summers, and Bad Feminist by Roxane Gay. Look for reviews of both of those shortly.

I’ve just started to read Cuckoo Song, by Frances Hardinge.

On the blog, I posted my reviews of Ally Carter’s All Fall Down, and Laura Ruby’s Bone Gap.

Coming up this week are reviews of:

We All Looked Up, by Tommy Wallach;

Fangasm: Supernatural Fangirls, by Katherine Larsen and Lynn Zubernis; and

When, by Victoria Laurie.

I’m going to spend the rest of the day trying to put my thoughts about All the Rage into words, and also watching AMC’s The Walking Dead marathon, before the season finale airs tonight! I’m so sad that the season will be over, but I’m so excited to see what’s going to happen!

Happy Sunday!

    I wound up enjoying this book so much that I immediately bought the rest of the books in the series and read them all one right after the other!
