Just One Reader's Opinion!

Week In Review

July 6 – 12

Hello and happy Sunday! I’ve been spending this hot, humid week starting to pack for my big move next month, and watching the Tour de France. I love watching the Tour each year, seeing the beautiful scenery going by, and the stages are always pretty exciting.

I’m really excited about my new books this week:

Becoming Darkness, by Lindsay Brambles (ARC);

The Dead Girls of Hysteria Hall, by Katie Alender (ARC);

The Dogs, by Allan Stratton (ARC);

The Game of Love and Death, by Martha Brockenbrough (purchased);

The Good Girls, by Sara Sheperd (library);

Scarlett Undercover, by Jennifer Latham (library);

Revenge, Ice Cream, and Other Things Best Served Cold, by Katie Finn (library); and

The Fill-In Boyfriend, by Kasie West (library).

I finished reading three books this past week: Enduring Armageddon, by Brian Parker; Nightfall, by Jake Halpern and Peter Kujawinski; and The Creeping by Alexandra Sirowy.

Currently, I’m still chipping away at The Bone Clocks by David Mitchell, and I think I’m going to start reading Leigh Bardugo’s Six of Crows today!

On the blog, I posted reviews of Suicide Notes from Beautiful Girls, by Lynn Weingarten, and Razorhurst by Justine Larbalestier, as well as my thoughts on Supernatural season two episodes two (Everybody Loves a Clown) and three (Bloodlust).

Coming up this week are some more Supernatural posts, and my reviews of Alive by Scott Sigler and Ruthless by Carolyn Lee Adams.

I’m off to get some coffee, check out the Tour de France, and crack open a book!

  1. I would just like to thank you for including BECOMING DARKNESS among your most recent haul of books. It’s truly a thrill to see the interest expressed by readers for my book and books in general. I believe that bloggers like you are the wave of the future when it comes to getting word out about the latest works from authors, and as a writer I’m truly grateful for — and very impressed by — the passion and enthusiasm you display.

    Regardless of what your final opinion of my novel is, I just want to thank you for taking a shot at reading it. You can find more information about the BECOMING DARKNESS and its journey to publication on my website. If you have any questions, feel free to ask; I’ll be more than pleased to answer.

    Happy reading!

    Lindsay Brambles
