Just One Reader's Opinion!

Week In Review

June 10 – 16

Well, after my wonderful trip to Toronto last weekend, I got hit with a stomach bug and my allergies kicked in big-time, so it’s been an unpleasant few days. At least it’s the weekend!

Friday was a nice, quiet evening with the husband, watching Identity Thief (funny!).Β  Saturday, my husband and I went for a bike ride (yikes!) and then went out to see Ferrari Festival and have dinner with some friends in Little Italy. It was a fun night!

I watched and read a lot of E3 coverage this week, as I do each year, and the Microsoft and Sony presentations were very interesting. We will eventually be a PS4 household. I’m not cool with XBox One’s always-online, no used-game/game sharing/etc. deal. Plus PS4 has the better price.

I am super excited for some new games announced at Nintendo’s E3 presentation too! The main ones that I’m really looking forward to are: The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds;Β  Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze; Super Smash Bros;Β  and Super Mario 3D World (which I’ve already preordered). There are more, but those are the main ones that I’m really excited about.

I’ve been playing a lot of Animal Crossing: New Leaf on the 3DS lately, too. It’s my first AC game, and it’s pretty fun. I am obsessed with catching sharks when I go fishing! I’ve caught a few, but they’re so tricky!!

This week, I posted reviews of 17 & Gone by Nova Ren Suma, and Also Known As by Robin Benway. I loved both books! I also shared my Waiting on Wednesday post about Another Little Piece by Kate Karyus Quinn – and then got my preordered copy in the mail! I can’t wait to start that book!

I’m currently about halfway through Caitlin Moran’s How To Be A Woman, and am about to start Siege and Storm, both of which I’ve borrowed from friends. I also finished reading Quarantine #2: The Saints yesterday, and will be working on that review today.

Coming up this week on the blog are reviews of John Green’s Paper Towns, a Top Ten Tuesday post, a Waiting on Wednesday post, and then a review of David Levithan’s Every Day. Phew!

Happy Sunday!

I wound up enjoying this book so much that I immediately bought the rest of the books in the series and read them all one right after the other!
