Just One Reader's Opinion!

Week In Review: January 6 – 12

January 6 – 12

Hi everyone. I was so so ready for the weekend! I was plagued by health problems all week and it was really tough. I couldn’t even concentrate on reading, which made me so sad. It was not a good week, so I hope that after a nice, relaxing weekend I’ll be better and ready to get back into the swing of things on Monday.

So instead of reading books, I acquired books! I bought The Uprising by Lisa M. Stasse (sequel to The Forsaken), and because I loved the e-ARC so much that I wanted a finished copy on my shelf, I bought Kathleen Hale’s No One Else Can Have You. I love Kippy, and I heard that there may be a sequel!

Via Edelweiss, I got The Secrets of Lily Graves by Sarah Strohmeyer; Rebel by Amy Tintera (sequel to Reboot); The Art of Lainey by Paula Stokes; and  The Vanishing Season by Jodi Lynn Anderson. I also got an e-ARC of Backwards Compatible: A Geek Love Story by Sarah Daltry and Pete Clark through Netgalley.

I was also incredibly pleasantly surprised to receive an ARC of one of my most anticipated books of 2014, Dear Killer by Katherine Ewell, from HCC Frenzy/Harper Collins Canada. That definitely made my bad day somewhat better! I can’t wait to jump into this one!

I finished reading both Avalon by Mindee Arnett and Winger by Andrew Smith last week, so look for those reviews in the upcoming week, along with a Top Ten Tuesday post.

I just finished reading The Crane Wife by Patrick Ness and am currently reading Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi, sequel to Under the Never Sky. I’ve also started to read Mindee Arnett’s The Nightmare Dilemma.

Last week I shared my top ten goals/resolutions for 2014, along with my reviews of Amy Kathleen Ryan’s Flame and Marissa Meyer’s Scarlet.

That’s it for me! I’m going to try to spend the remainder of my weekend reading and relaxing. Happy Sunday!

  1. I WANT AN ARC OF REBEL SOOOOO BAD! Do you know where I can get an arc of it or if there are any giveaways?

I wound up enjoying this book so much that I immediately bought the rest of the books in the series and read them all one right after the other!
