Just One Reader's Opinion!

Week In Review

March 18 – 24

Well, the snow is still here. Grr. It’s officially spring, but you’d never know it from the weather we’ve been having lately!

On Friday, my husband and I went to a going away party for a friend who is moving to Switzerland for a year. On Saturday, we had a mini-marathon of Justified, my new tv obsession. It’s an amazing show! And the characters have a way of getting under your skin, even minor ones, which is pretty incredible when you realize how many there are. It’s action-packed, tense, suspenseful, funny, and totally unpredictable, which I love.

On the blog, I posted three reviews this past week: Level 2, Tokyo Heist, and The First Lie (a Lying Game novella).

I also finished three books that I will be reviewing this week: Amelia Anne is Dead and Gone by Kat Rosenfield, Sever (the final book in Lauren DeStefano’s Chemical Garden trilogy), and Such A Rush by Jennifer Echols.

My older sister has me obsessed with Skylanders Giants! I got the Wii U starter kit last week, and it’s so much fun! I love all the different figures that you can use in the game. I have six: Hex, Sprocket, Jet-Vac, Cynder, Thumpback, and Tree Rex, representing five of the eight elemental types (I have two Undead, because that’s my favourite!). I think my sister is sending me Flashwing, which would leave me needing a Fire type and a Magic type, in order to have one of each element. I really want Hot Dog (fire) and Pop Fizz (magic). They’re so cute!

I am also really looking forward to Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon (aka Luigi’s Mansion 2), which comes out for the 3DS today and which I pre-ordered, so that should show up in my mailbox soon. It looks so fun! I love the Boos, and the idea of travelling through different haunted mansion levels sounds awesome!

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for warmer weather on the upcoming Easter long weekend!! I plan to read and play Nintendo while I enjoy a four-day weekend, but it would be nice to have some sun and see green grass.

I wound up enjoying this book so much that I immediately bought the rest of the books in the series and read them all one right after the other!
