January 12 – 18
My reading is picking back up, now that the initial excitement and stress of buying our first place has subsided! I’ve already read five books this year, which I feel like is less than what I read this time last year, but hey, it’s still January. I’ve got time to catch up.
I’ve kept to my book buying ban so far and I’m definitely making use of the library! I spend a lot of time browsing the library website and putting holds on everything that I want to read! I borrowed a copy of Me Before You by Jojo Moyes this week and am really looking forward to reading it!
I also received a few books via Edelweiss and Netgalley this week that I’m excited to read:
A Ring Through Time by Felicity Pulman (Edelweiss)
City Love by Susane Colasanti (Edelweiss)
The Uninvited by Cat Winters (Edelweiss)
Down from the Mountain by Elizabeth Fixmer (Netgalley)
I finished reading three books this week. Yes, I would definitely say that my reading is back on track! I read:
Shutter (arc), by Courtney Alameda
The Dinner, by Herman Koch
Every Breath, by Ellie Marney
Currently, I’m still slowly making my way through Station Eleven. I’m also reading an arc of Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, and I have really high expectations for it!
On the blog, I posted my reviews of Authority and Acceptance, by Jeff VanderMeer.
Coming up this week are reviews of Atlantia, by Ally Condie, and The Dinner.
Time for more coffee, more library browsing, and more reading! Happy Sunday!
