I love reading essays and interesting articles and trying to share them with other people who I think might find them interesting! Lately I have read a few pieces that I’ve really enjoyed, so I decided to make a little blog post to collect them all in one place!
‘Cloud Dancer’: A Measured Response by J.P. Brammer – “As you can see, Cloud Dancer is the color of a MacBook charger in its waning days of service. The color of bad news delivered with bureaucratic indifference.”
Have You Heard the One About Kevin O’Leary, Wayne Gretzky, and Danielle Smith Walking Into Mar-a-Lago? by Mark Critch – “But, in my opinion, the people that Canadians should be most worried about meddling in our affairs are Canadians. You don’t need to search the dark corners of the Parliament Buildings for double agents[…]All you must do is turn on the TV or scroll through your social media feed. They’re right there, plain as day.”
Waiting Is a Revelation by L.M. Sacasas – “[…]the space between desire and fulfillment or impulse and satisfaction has been effectively collapsed.”
2025: The Year Everything Broke by Tell the Bees – “2025 was the year everything started to break. Not literally, of course. Things have felt off for a few years now, but this was the year things started to feel worse. I’m normally an optimist, but 2025 tested my faith in new and surprising ways.”
And on a lighter note:
“Muppets Noir” Is Coming in 2026, as Kermit Becomes a “Hard Boiled” Detective by Ambrose Tardive – “The appropriately zany premise centers around Kermit getting bonked on the head with a brick, leaving his alter-ego “Flip Minnow, P.I.” to figure out whodunnit.”
