Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, and spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.
This week’s pick is How to Love by Katie Cotugno.
Before: Reena Montero has loved Sawyer LeGrande for as long as she can remember: as natural as breathing, as endless as time. But heβs never seemed to notice that Reena even existsβ¦until one day, impossibly, he does. Reena and Sawyer fall in messy, complicated love. But then Sawyer disappears from their humid Florida town without a word, leaving a devastatedβand pregnantβReena behind.
After: Almost three years have passed, and thereβs a new love in Reenaβs life: her daughter, Hannah. Reenaβs gotten used to being without Sawyer, and sheβs finally getting the hang of this strange, unexpected life. But just as swiftly and suddenly as he disappeared, Sawyer turns up again. Reena doesnβt want anything to do with him, though sheβd be lying if she said Sawyerβs being back wasnβt stirring something in her. After everything thatβs happened, can Reena really let herself love Sawyer LeGrande again?
In this breathtaking debut, Katie Cotugno weaves together the story of one couple falling in loveβtwice.
It was the cover of this book that first caught my eye, but I’ve been on the lookout for a new contemporary read, since I’ve done pretty well with the ones I’ve read this year.
According to Goodreads, this book comes out on October 1, which just happens to be my second wedding anniversary, so I take that as a sign that this might be a good choice for my next contemporary YA romance!
