April 2026
I don’t always feel like writing a full review for everything. I was inspired by Modern Mrs. Darcy’s Quick Lit posts and decided to do something similar as a way to briefly discuss the books I read in a month but don’t write full reviews for.
April was yet another slower reading month for me. I was fully invested in a couple of Nintendo games and as much BTS comeback content as I could find, so reading fell by the wayside.
I only finished 5 books in April, and I’ve managed to review two of them here already:
Adult Braces: Driving Myself Sane, Lindy West
Warning Signs, Tracy Sierra
That just leaves three books for me to talk about, so here are my thoughts on them:

The Keeper, Tana French (purchased) – 4⭐
I know her non-Dublin Murder squad books haven’t been for everyone, but I just love Tana French’s writing, whether the story is slow-paced and contemplative (like this one) or whether it’s a faster moving mystery. I think this was a fitting end to the trilogy and Cal’s story.
Cat + Crazy, Volume 1, Wataru Nadatani (purchased) – 4⭐
This was very cute and sweet, and silly!
American Spy, Lauren Wilkinson (purchased) – 3⭐
I liked this book but didn’t love it, but my book club chat about it was good and made me appreciate it more than when I was reading it. It’s a spy story but not a fast-paced thriller like I was thinking it would be.
