When I heard that this was about a girl in 1885 who disguises herself as a boy while tracking down her outlaw brother, I knew I had to read it!
I absolutely loved Josh Malerman’s Bird Box when I read it a few years ago, so I was excited to read anything he wrote next.
So I have mixed feelings about this book but if there’s a sequel I might pick it up.
It was a YA western horror, and I have learned that I am super into that kind of book!
If you liked Vengeance Road, I’m pretty sure you’ll enjoy Retribution Rails as well!
Vengeance Road was moving, exciting, and well-written. It lived up to my expectations. Recommended!
