Waiting on Wednesday

Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, and spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating.

This week’s pick is Enders by Lissa Price, the sequel to Starters.

Here is the Goodreads summary:

EndersWith the Prime Destinations body bank destroyed, Callie no longer has to rent herself out to creepy Enders. But Enders can still get inside her mind and make her do things she doesn’t want to do. Like hurt someone she loves. Having the chip removed could save Callie’s life – but it could also silence the voice in her head that might belong to her father. Callie has flashes of her ex-renter Helena’s memories, too …and the Old Man is back, filling her with fear. Who is real and who is masquerading in a teen body?

First of all, I am not feeling this cover. I loved the original cover to Starters, but I see this series is another victim of the dreaded cover change. Sigh. I wish they had stuck with the same kind of cover for Enders as they did for the original hardcover of Starters because this cover and the new one for the Starters paperback seem so generic or something.

Anyway. I readΒ Starters all the way back in April of 2012 (check out my review) and while I didn’t love it, I enjoyed it and its premise enough that I have been looking forward to reading its sequel since then.

Goodreads tells me that this book isn’t out until January 2014, which feels soooo far away! I am definitely going to have to reread Starters before then to refresh my memory!

What are you waiting on this week?

I wound up enjoying this book so much that I immediately bought the rest of the books in the series and read them all one right after the other!
