Just One Reader's Opinion!

Week In Review

February 16 – 22

Well it’s Sunday, which in my world means I’m all about The Walking Dead! I’ve read both of the compendiums that my husband got me for Christmas so I think I know where the show is going with the story this season, but I can’t wait to see.

I’m also participating in the Love-A-Thon hosted by Alexa (check out my questionnaire). It’s been fun to get to know other bloggers!

I was pretty excited to receive some arcs/e-galleys this week:

Stone in the Sky, by Cecil Castellucci

A School for Unusual Girls, by Kathleen Baldwin

The Queen of Bright and Shiny Things, by Ann Aguirre

The Well, by Catherine Chanter

(Thank you Raincoast and Simon and Schuster!)

I also picked up Between the Spark and the Burn, by April Genevieve Tucholke, from the library.

I read a lot of books last week, probably because I had a three day weekend:

The Naturals, Jennifer Lynn Barnes;

Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, April Genevieve Tucholke;

There Will Be Lies, Nick Lake; and

Don’t Look Back, Jennifer L. Armentrout.

I enjoyed them all, to varying degrees. Look for those reviews over the next couple of weeks. This brings me to 21 books read so far this year, which puts me a few books ahead of schedule for my Goodreads Challenge of 100 books.

Currently I’m reading Stone in the Sky.

On the blog last week, I posted reviews of Geek Girl by Holly Smale and Winterkill by Kate A. Boorman. I also shared my Waiting on Wednesday post about Andrew Smith’s Stand-Off.

There’s a lot going on this week on the blog! I’ve got reviews of A Darker Shade of Magic by Victoria Schwab and The Winner’s Crime by Marie Rutkoski, along with my stop on the blog tour for Stone in the Sky, featuring a review and a Q&A with the author, plus a post on the Dark Side II Tour by Simon & Schuster, along with a cover reveal. Phew!

I plan on participating some more in the blogger Love-A-Thon today, and reading of course! Happy Sunday!

    I wound up enjoying this book so much that I immediately bought the rest of the books in the series and read them all one right after the other!
