After a supernatural showdown with a serial killer, Evie O'Neill has outed herself as a Diviner. Now that the world knows of her ability to "read" objects, and therefore, read the past, she has become a media darling, earning the title, "America's Sweetheart Seer." But not everyone is so accepting of the Diviners' abilities...
Meanwhile, mysterious deaths have been turning up in the city, victims of an unknown sleeping sickness. Can the Diviners descend into the dreamworld and catch a killer?
I love Libba Bray’s books. The Diviners was fantastic, and Lair of Dreams has been one of my most-anticipated books for ages! Happily, it lived up to my high expectations.
I absolutely love the world that Libba Bray has created: New York in the 1920s is both magical and menacing, and it’s the perfect backdrop for this story.
Everything about this book was awesome: the characters, the story, the snappy dialogue, the setting, and the EMOTIONS! And like The Diviners, this book is full of wonderfully creepy, spooky, chilling scenes that I loved!
Everything that I enjoyed about the first book was here in the sequel, and Lair of Dreams felt even creepier than its predecessor (which is definitely a good thing!).
Highly recommended!
