I’ve been using Storygraph in addition to Goodreads for the last year or so, and one of my goals this year is to use Storygraph more. One of my favourite things about it is the ability to join reading challenges and set up your own.
I was thinking earlier this year about books I’d like to reread, but I so rarely reread anything (usually because I am so eager to pick up something from my TBR). So when I saw that someone on Storygraph was hosting a rereading challenge and that the goal was to reread five books a year, it seemed doable and I joined.
So I picked five books I’ve read and loved to reread:
Books 1-3 are the books in Victoria Schwab’s Shades of Magic series. I loved these books when I read them, and she’s working on a new series set in the same world so it seems like a good opportunity to revisit these.
Book four is Night Film by Marisha Pessl. I inhaled this book when I first read it 10 years ago, and I really want to see how I feel about it on a reread.
Book five is The Trespasser by Tana French. This was actually the first book in her Dublin Murder Squad series that I read, but it’s the sixth (and so far, last) book in the series. I love these books, so now that I’ve read them all, I would love to reread this one and see references to the other books I missed the first time around.
Five books a year seems doable, and it’s only March. So I am confident that I can achieve the goal and complete this challenge succesfully!
