Just One Reader's Opinion!

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week’s topic is:

TopΒ Ten Books I’m Looking Forward To in the First Half of 2017

There are so many books coming out next year that I’m excited about reading, and it was really hard to narrow this down to just ten, coming out between January and June of 2017! Here they are, in no particular order (links go to Goodreads):

1. Eliza and Her Monsters, Francesca Zappia;

I am a huge fan of both Nimona and Fangirl, which, according to the Goodreads description for this book, makes me the target audience forΒ Eliza and Her Monsters.

2. When Dimple Met Rishi, Sandhya Menon;

This sounds really good!

3. I Believe In a Thing Called Love, Maurene Goo;

I love this cover and the premise, and I super enjoyed Maurene Goo’s Since You Asked and have been eagerly waiting for a new book from her.

4. A Twist in Time, Julie McElwain;

I really loved A Murder in Time, and I didn’t even know there was going to be a sequel so I’m super excited about this!

5. Always and Forever, Lara Jean, Jenny Han;

Oh my gosh, Jenny Han’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before series is one of my favourites, and I was beyond excited when she announced that there was going to be a third book!! I have already pre-ordered this book and can’t wait for it to arrive in my mailbox!

6. A Conjuring of Light, Victoria Schwab;

The Shades of Magic series is another favourite series of mine! I actually got to meet Victoria Schwab last month at an event at my library, and it was so amazing to meet her and hear her speak about her books. I am so sad that this series will be ending but also so excited to read this book!

7. The Valiant, Lesley Livingston;

Lesley Livingston was at the same event as Victoria Schwab at my library last month, and hearing her talk about this book – the inspiration, the research she did, her writing process – made me even more excited to read all about Fallon, a femaleΒ gladiator!

8. Silver Stars, Michael Grant;

I loved Michael Grant’s Front Lines, an alternate history with women being eligible for the draft and serving alongside men in World War II, and I’m super excited to read this sequel.

9. Caraval, Stephanie Garber;

I love this cover! And I’m super intrigued by the synopsis.

10. Dear Reader, Mary O’Connell.

I’m pretty much sold on this just by the Goodreads synopsis, which leads off with this: Gilmore Girls with magical realism!

Have you read any of these already? Are any of them on your TBR? Let me know!

    I wound up enjoying this book so much that I immediately bought the rest of the books in the series and read them all one right after the other!
