Just One Reader's Opinion!

Week In Review

September 14 – 20

I haven’t done one of these for a while! With the move and then the delayed occupancy and then finally getting into our place and unpacking, life has been so hectic that I’ve barely had any time to read and zero time to write any reviews!

And to top it all off, I’m starting a new job on Monday! I typically don’t like change but there certainly is a lot of it in my life right now!

I’ve got a lot of books in the last few weeks, but I can’t remember all of them. But here’s a few that I’ve brought into my new home this past week:

Undermarjordomo Minor, by Patrick deWitt (purchased) – I loved The Sisters Brothers, so I was super excited to get my hands on his new book!

Revenge and the Wild, by Michelle Modesto (e-ARC from Edelweiss);

Mr. Fahrenheit, by T. Michael Martin (e-ARC from Edelweiss);

This is Where the World Ends, by Amy Zhang (e-ARC from Edelweiss);

Front Lines, by Michael Grant (e-ARC from Edelweiss);

Shade Me, by Jennifer Brown (e-ARC from Edelweiss);

Take the Fall, by Emily Hainsworth (e-ARC from Edelweiss);

I See Reality (ARC from Raincoast Books), featuring short stories by various authors;

After the Woods, by Kim Savage (ARC from Raincoast Books);

Everything, Everything, by Nicola Yoon (purchased); and

Fates and Furies, by Lauren Groff (purchased).

I’m excited for things to settle down so that I have time to read all of these!!

Like I said, I haven’t had much time to read lately, but I did finish two books: Daughters Unto Devils, by Amy Lukavics (ARC), and The Scorpion Rules, by Erin Bow (ARC). I’ll be working on those reviews soon!

I’ve just started reading an ARC of Kim Liggett’s Blood and Salt, which I’ve been looking forward to!

There haven’t been many reviews posted lately on the blog, but I did share my thoughts on Ungodly by Kendare Blake, and Nightfall by Jake Halpern and Peter Kujawinski.

Coming up this week are my reviews of Beastly Bones by William Ritter and Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo (I LOVED BOTH!!).

That’s it for me! Time to grab some more coffee and try to settle in with a book. Happy Sunday!
