April 30 – May 6
Happy weekend! I’ve been spending a good chunk of my weekend inside, reading and watching Brooklyn 99 on Netflix. I love this show!
New books:
I received an e-ARC of Salt, by Hannah Moskowitz via Edelweiss, and I’m really looking forward to reading it. The synopsis sounds so good:
Even though their parents disappeared during a hunt three months ago, seventeen-year-old Indi and his siblings, Beleza, Oscar, and Zulu, continue to roam the Mediterranean on their sailboat and hunt down monsters–but Indi yearns for a more settled life for his family, and he hopes that his parents’ journal with its tantalizing hints of a treasure, will provide them all with the means of escape from their nomadic and dangerous life before it is too late.
Books read:
I finished three books this week:
I’ll Be Gone in the Dark, Michelle McNamara;
Dirty Rowdy Thing, Christina Lauren; and
The Merciless III: Origins of Evil, Danielle Vega.
Current reads:
I am still reading my e-ARC of Erin Bowmanβs Contagion. I didn’t really read much of it this past week, but I’m hoping to read more of it today or tomorrow.
I also picked up The Force by Don Winslow. I tried to read it once before and DNFd, but people really liked this and I wanted to give it another chance and see if I could get into it.
Reviews:
This past week, I posted my reviews of John Darnielle’s Universal Harvester, and Michelle McNamara’s I’ll Be Gone in the Dark.
I also posted my sister’s review of Fudge and Jury by Ellie Alexander.
Okay, time for some reading and then some more Brooklyn 99. Happy Sunday!
