Just One Reader's Opinion!

Week In Review

July 15 – 21

The humidity this week was brutal! Every time I had to go outside, whether it was to walk to work or to walk home, to run errands, even to go out the front door and check the mailbox, I was miserable. I’m so happy that it cooled down today – even though it’s still been warm and sunny.

We spent much of last night out on our balcony playing Cards Against Humanity with friends. It’s become a bit of a tradition for us to play that outdoors in the summer, and it’s always a crazy, interesting, outrageous experience!

I finally got my hair cut today! It has literally been at least a year since I got it cut, and my hair is super thick and grows like a weed. In the heat and humidity we’ve been experiencing this summer, it just got to be too much hair. I had them chop it off between my chin and my shoulders, and I’m so happy! My head feels way lighter, and it’s just long enough to put in a cute little ponytail if I want to.

On the blog, I posted my reviews of Crushed, the 13th book in the Pretty Little Liars series by Sara Shepard, and Caitlin Moran’s How To Be A Woman. I’ve also been participating in the 15 Day Book Blogging Challenge, hosted by Good Books Good Wine.

I finished reading The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, by Ann Brashares; The Dream Thieves, sequel to Maggie Stiefvater’s The Raven Boys; and Emmy Labourne’s Sky on Fire, the sequel to Monument 14. Look for those reviews in the coming weeks!

Coming up this week, I’ll continue with the book blogging challenge, and will post reviews of The Masque of the Red Death, by Bethany Griffin, and Code Name Verity, by Elizabeth Wein.

I’m currently reading Kevin Kwan’s Crazy Rich Asians, and loving it so far!

So that’s another weekend almost done. Husband and I are going to wind down with a movie tonight – perhaps Django Unchained. I’ve heard mostly good things about it from others, so I hope I like it! Happy Sunday!

I wound up enjoying this book so much that I immediately bought the rest of the books in the series and read them all one right after the other!
