For this post, we’re sharing our current “high” fives – things that are making us happy in the following categories:
1. Book
2. Genre
3. Author
4. Blogger
5. Bookish merchandise / Book-related site
1. Book
I’m super excited about Victoria Schwab’s A Darker Shade of Magic, coming out on Tuesday. I was so pleased to receive an e-arc and my review goes up tomorrow. This book has a gorgeous cover and I can’t wait to buy a finished copy for my bookshelf! I loved this book so much and am really happy to see people on Twitter and their blogs talking about. It’s such a great story!
2. Genre
My favourite genre, supernatural/paranormal, is making me pretty happy right now because I’ve been looking at my bookshelves and seeing all of the great books in that genre that I’ve read and loved, such as The Merciless by Danielle Vega, Unbreakable and Unmarked by Kami Garcia, and Shutter by Courtney Alameda.
3. Author
Maureen Johnson’s twitter feed always entertains me! And I’m really excited to read the third book in the Shades of London series, The Shadow Cabinet, once my hold comes in from the library. I can’t wait to see where the story goes next!
Also, April Genevieve Tucholke because last weekend I read and loved Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, and I’ve just picked up the sequel, Between the Spark and the Burn, from the library and I can’t wait to read it!
4. Blogger
Alexa for putting this Love-A-Thon together! It’s been a lot of fun to follow the #LoveAThon hashtag on twitter and check out everyone else’s posts!
5. Bookish merchandise / Book-related site
The Book Riot website is always awesome, and now that they’ve opened their own store, I find myself looking at all the awesome things I wish I could buy, like these bookworm socks, this library stamp sweater, and this hyperbole t-shirt!
Now to check out other high five lists! Share your link in the comments so I can check it out!

You’re so sweet for including me in this post! The Love-a-Thon would not have been as wonderful without awesome participants like you. Also, I need to read more of Victoria Schwab’s books! I’ve only read one (The Near Witch) which I enjoyed a lot π
I’ve only read Vicious and A Darker Shade of Magic and they’re both 5 star, favourite reads!!
I am so excited for A darker shade of magic, I loved The near witch & The archived. Alexa did an amazing job with hosting this years Love-a-thon π
