Just One Reader's Opinion!

Week In Review

January 27 – February 2

Happy weekend everyone! Who else is watching the final episode of Sherlock season 3 tonight? I’m really excited to see it, but also bummed because I don’t know when we’ll get more new episodes.

I picked up a bunch of books again at the library this week: Criminal by Terra Elan McVoy; 3:59 by Gretchen McNeil; Ketchup Clouds by Annabel Pitcher; Broken by C.J. Lyons; The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes; and Onyx by Jennifer Armentrout. I have no idea how many of these I’ll be able to get through before they’re due back, but I’m excited to try and read all of them!

I also purchased a bunch of books using some gift cards for Chapters/Indigo that I’ve been holding on to since Christmas: Velveteen by Daniel Marks; In the After by Demitria Lunetta (which I borrowed from the library and then had to return unread because I ran out of time and refuse to incur late fees!); Asunder by Jodi Meadows; Her Dark Curiosity by Megan Shepherd; and Tahereh Mafi’s Shatter Me, Unravel Me, and Ignite Me (I’ve read the first two butΒ didn’t own them). Phew! And I’ve still got a couple of gift cards left!

I am also very excited to have an e-ARC of Sara Shepard’s The Heiresses via Edelweiss! I love the Pretty Little Liars and Lying Game series and this book sounds like it will be just my thing!

I finished reading five books this week, wowsers: Impulse by Ellen Hopkins and Pretenders by Lisi Harrison, and e-ARCs of Biggest Flirts by Jennifer Echols, Perfect Lies by Kiersten White, and The Here and Now by Ann Brashares.

As for current reads,Β Clockwork Angel sort of got moved to the back burner lately but I will pick it back up! I’m also reading Year of Mistaken Discoveries by Eileen Cook, and Endless Love by Scott Spencer for book club.

This week, I posted my reviews of Cress by Marissa Meyer and Pretty Little Liars #14: Deadly by Sara Shepard. I loved both!

Coming up are my reviews of Ilsa J. Bick’s White Space and Ellen Hopkins’ Impulse. Both books were pretty different from what I usually read.

Happy reading everyone!

I wound up enjoying this book so much that I immediately bought the rest of the books in the series and read them all one right after the other!
