Week In Review

February 17 – 23

I’m writing this bright and early on Sunday, before the Olympic gold medal men’s hockey game. Go Team Canada!

I had a quiet but nice book week. I was super excited to borrow an ARC of Dorothy Must Die from my friend Kathy. This is one of my most-anticipated reads of 2014. I also borrowed Wait For You from my friend Emilie, which will be one of my first NA reads I believe.

I also purchased the e-book of Rae Carson’s The Crown of Embers, as I’m trying to catch up on my series this year. I also used my last Christmas gift card and purchased Michelle Hodkin’s The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer and The Evolution of Mara Dyer, because the third and final book, The Retribution of Mara Dyer, has finally been given a release date (November 4)! I pre-ordered that book ages ago and I am definitely going to need a series re-read to remember what happened. But I can’t wait!

I finished reading a bunch of books this week: Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi (yay I finished a series!); Going Rogue by Robin Benway; and an ARC of The Enchanted by Rene Denfeld.

Currently I’m reading Dorothy Must Die, and plan to start The Winner’s Curse this afternoon. I’m so excited for that one!

On the blog, I posted my reviews of Unforgotten by Jessica Brody and Year of Mistaken Discoveries by Eileen Cook, along with my interview with the awesome Mindee Arnett about her upcoming book The Nightmare Dilemma.

This week I’ll be sharing my reviews of Tin Star by Cecil Castellucci and The Nightmare Dilemma.

Okay the hockey is starting so I’m out of here! Happy reading and GO CANADA!
