Just One Reader's Opinion!

Week In Review

September 8 – 14

Autumn is here! I have loved the cooler temperatures, the leaves already changing colour, and wearing comfy cozy sweaters. I just love this time of year!

I’ve been catching up on Sleepy Hollow, and I only have two episodes left to watch before I’m done season one.Β  I’m really excited for fall TV, especially this show! I’m loving season one and I can’t wait for more episodes!

There’s one week left to enter my giveaway for an ARC of The Perfectionsts by Sara Shepard, so check that out and enter!

Earlier this week I received a copy of Horrorstor by Grady Hendrix, from Quirk Books. Thank you!

I also purchased the Southern Reach trilogy (Annihilation, Authority, and Acceptance) by Jeff VanderMeer, and I’m really excited to read them.

I finished reading five books in the past week:

Blood Of My Blood by Barry Lyga;

The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown;

Horrorstor by Grady Hendrix;

The Vault of Dreamers by Caragh O’Brien; and

Falling Into Place by Amy Zhang.

Currently, I’m reading The Glass Casket by McCormick Templeman. This book has been on my shelf since it first came out at the beginning of the year, and I’ve been meaning to pick it up all year and actually read it!

I guess I’m also reading Lailah by Nikki Kelly still, but I’m strongly considering DNF’ing. I’m 20% in and I don’t really like what I’ve read so far, but I’m debating trying to give it another go before putting it down for good. We’ll see.

The blog was busy this week! I posted reviews of:

Jackaby by William Ritter;

Broken Monsters by Lauren Beukes;

Ashes to Ashes by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian; and

I posted my thoughts on why I love Bob’s Burgers.

The upcoming week will be a busy one too, with reviews of:

Get Even, by Gretchen McNeil;

Made For You, by Melissa Marr;

Blood Of My Blood, by Barry Lyga;

Blackbird, by Anna Carey; and

Dangerous Boys, by Abigail Haas.

Phew!

I’m going to finish watching Sleepy Hollow and curl up with a book and coffee. Happy Sunday!

    I wound up enjoying this book so much that I immediately bought the rest of the books in the series and read them all one right after the other!
