December 29 – January 4
Happy new year! I can’t believe it’s 2015! Did you guys make any resolutions? I made the usual ones (eat better; save money; buy fewer books and use the library more; read more of the books I own but have not read yet; etc.).
I did buy one new book at the end of December: The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins (not out until later this month, but my preorder arrived nice and early). I can’t wait to read it!
I read two books in the past week: Authority and Acceptance, both by Jeff VanderMeer. They’re the last two books of the Southern Reach trilogy. I binge read the entire series after Christmas!
I’m still reading Station Eleven but haven’t really tried to read lately. I think my brain needs a break after the Southern Reach series!
I posted reviews of Pretty Little Liars: Vicious and This Shattered World, along with posts on my favourite reads of 2014 and the 2014 end of the year book survey.
Coming up this week is a guest post from Kristi Charish, author of Owl and the Japanese Circus, and my review of Jeff VanderMeer’s Annihilation.
