Just One Reader's Opinion!

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week’s topic is:

Best Books I’ve Read In 2018 (So Far)

I haven’t done a TTT post in a while! Today I’m talking about the best books I’ve read so far this year. According to Goodreads, I’ve read 51 books far (which puts me halfway towards my reading goal for the year).

I kept this list to ten (and in no particular order), but I could easily have added more. I’ve read some pretty great books this year! I’ve linked to my review, if I’ve posted one for the book:

1. Bluebird, Bluebird by Attica Locke

This was a great mystery, and I’m really hoping that there will be a sequel.

2. The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova

This was technically a re-read but it had been so long since I read it the first time that I didn’t remember much. I loved this so much and I would read it again!

3. I’ll Be Gone in the Dark by Michelle McNamara

A rare non-fiction read for me. I heard a lot about this book before I picked it up, and it was difficult to put down once I started reading.

4. Dread Nation by Justina Ireland

This was one of my most-anticipated books of 2018, and I loved it! I can’t wait to read the sequel.

5. Little Monsters by Kara Thomas

Wow this was great! A fantastic dark YA mystery. I want to read more books like this.

6. Sadie by Courtney Summers

This isn’t out until the fall, so look for my review closer to the release date, but this was one that I have thought about nearly every day since I finished reading it. Must-read.

7. Sawkill Girls by Claire Legrand

This is another one that isn’t out until the fall. It was not what I expected, in the best way.

8. Undead Girl Gang by Lily Anderson

Another one that I loved about girls and friendship and mysteries.

9. White Tears by Hari Kunzru

This was such an unsettling, unforgettable book. Another must-read, and one I want to re-read.

10. Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli

I took forever to get around to reading this book, but it was so good! And now I need to watch the movie adaptation!

What’s on your list of best books so far?
