Week In Review

March 10 – 16

So my husband and I finished watching True Detective. Wow. Just wow. From the acting to the writing to the visuals, I give the show a solid A+! I can’t wait to see what they do with a second season.

I also finally watched Thor: The Dark World and loved it. I was happy to see characters like Darcy and Heimdall get some more screen time, and of course Loki! And was Zachary Levi in the first one? I don’t remember if he was.

Lots of books acquired this week: I purchased Enders by Lissa Price (sequel to Starters) and Defiance by C.J. Redwine for Kobo; Champion by Marie Lu (last book in the Legend series) and Not a Drop to Drink by Mindy McGinnis; and downloaded Quarantine #3: The Burnouts by Lex Thomas, Amity by Mical Ostow, and Of Monsters and Madness by Jessica Verday from Edelweiss.

I read Alice Will by Ashley Chappell; Asunder by Jodi Meadows; and Sekret by Lindsay Smith this week. I also read a graphic novel, Hawkeye: My Life As a Weapon.

Currently I’m reading ARCs of Strange Sweet Song by Adi Rule and Dear Killer by Katherine Ewell.

I posted ARC/galley reviews of Backward Compatible; Nil; and The Enchanted; reviews of Ignite Me and Alice Will (TLC Book Tours); and a Top Ten Tuesday post on my favourite sci-fi and fantasy books.

Coming up are reviews of The Edge of Falling (ARC) by Rebecca Serle and Blythewood by Carol Goodman.

Now I’m going to read on the couch and enjoy some coffee. Happy Sunday!
