Just One Reader's Opinion!

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week’s topic is:

Top Ten All-Time Favourite Books in the Fantasy and Science Fiction Genres

I decided to mix this post up so I could include my favourite fantasy and science fiction reads!

1. These Broken Stars

I fell in love with this book when I read an e-ARC last year! I had to have a hard copy to put on my bookshelf. This is one I will definitely re-read and that I have been recommending to everyone!

2. Cress

Really, I would put the entire Lunar Chronicles series on this list. The books just get better and better, and the way the stories and characters are intertwined and connected is awesome.

3. Vicious

This is one of my all-time favourite books now. As soon as I finished it, I began telling everyone to read it. And with the news that it may turn into a movie, I am going to be pushing this book into people’s hands!!

4. Mila 2.0

This was a fun, exciting book and I’m really excited for the sequel.

5. Ready Player One

I love this book! One of my all-time favourite reads.

6. Throne of Glass

This tops the list for best fantasy book I’ve read in a looooong time. I have the sequel but have been hesitating to read it because then I have to wait for the third book and I’m thinking that I want to binge read them. I’m weird.

7. Siege and Storm

This and its predecessor, Shadow and Bone, are amazing.

8. The Last Unicorn

This is pretty much my favourite book ever. Of all time. Enough said.

9. The Winner’s Curse

I loved this one! It was really hyped and I was a bit nervous that I wouldn’t enjoy it as much as others, but I totally loved this one

10. The Gemma Doyle trilogy

This is a cheat because I’m putting three books here (A Great and Terrible Beauty, Rebel Angels, and The Sweet Far Thing) but this series is very near and dear to my heart. These books were some of my earliest YA reads and I fell utterly in love with Libba Bray’s writing and characters.

Let me know what your favourite sci-fi and fantasy reads are!

  1. You have some great books on your list! I haven’t read all of them but I would love too! lol πŸ™‚
I have read Shadow & Bone and can’t wait to read Siege & Storm, I’m trying to hold out til closer to book three, Ruin & Rising, book release date.
Throne of Glass is not on my reading list and I’m dying to read The Last Unicorn. My bookstore said they had it and when I got there they searched around for it and couldn’t find it. I was pissed! I guess I’ll just have to order it myself, online!

I wound up enjoying this book so much that I immediately bought the rest of the books in the series and read them all one right after the other!
