October 22 – 28
I’ve been watching a lot of spooky stuff to get in the Halloween spirit! This month felt really busy and flew by, and I didn’t leave myself enough time to watch all the scary movies I usually like to watch this time of year.
But I did finally watch Get Out, which was fantastic, and the adaptation of Annihilation, which was really strange and cool. And I’ve started watching The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix. I really liked what I read of the comic, so I’m interested to see how it’s adapted.
I also rewatched one of my favourite movies, What We Do in the Shadows.
There are still lots of movies I want to watch though (28 Days Later; The Cabin in the Woods; Shaun of the Dead).
New books:
I received an e-ARC of Renee Knight’s The Secretary. I read her previous book, Disclaimer, a couple of years ago and liked it, so I am looking forward to this one.
Books read:
I finished one book this week: The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein, by Kiersten White.
Current reads:
I haven’t decided on my next book yet!
Reviews:
There were a bunch of reviews this week:
An Absolutely Remarkable Thing, Hank Green;
The Witch Elm, Tana French; and
Down the Aisle with Murder, Auralee Wallace.
Time for some scary movies, coffee, and to pick out my next read. Happy Sunday!
