Just One Reader's Opinion!

Week In Review

December 9 – 15

Wow this week has flown by! It’s been absolutely freezing here the past few days and now we’re getting a ton of snow, so I’m definitely not leaving my house today. I can’t believe Christmas will be here in ten days! Thankfully I have all my shopping done. Now I just have to send those gifts to my family, eeep!

I went to a Secret Santa potluck on Friday with my fellow Ottawa bloggers and got an awesome Banned Books mug with tea, nail polish, cookies, and a beautiful scarf from my Secret Santa, Jess from Read My Breath Away. Thanks Jess! I’ve been enjoying coffee in my new mug all weekend!

I borrowed two books from Meaghan of Feeling a Little Bookish this week that I’m excited to read: Alice in Zombieland by Gena Showalter, and The Replacement by Brenna Yovanoff.

I also received an e-ARC of Don’t Even Think About It by Sarah Mlynowski from Netgalley, and Biggest Flirts by Jennifer Echols from Edelweiss. Thank you!

I also purchased The Morning Star by Robin Bridges, the third book in the Katerina trilogy. I didn’t even know it was out until a few weeks ago, but apparently it came out in August! I can’t wait to see how this series ends.

I didn’t finish any books this past week. I’m so ashamed! But I have had a very busy/stressful past couple of weeks and I just wasn’t able to focus on anything, including reading. So I am still reading Unforgotten by Jessica Brody (but I should finish it today) and Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi.

I posted my reviews of These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner, and Just One Year by Gayle Forman. I also shared my Waiting on Wednesday post about the upcoming Kate Karyus Quinn book, (Don’t You) Forget About Me.

I participated in Jamie’s 2013 End of the Year Book Survey, which was fun, and shared the first two posts of my three-part look at upcoming 2014 releases that I can’t wait to read. Read part one here and part two here.

Coming up this week is the third post looking at 2014 releases I’m excited about, along with my reviews of Poor Little Dead Girls by Lizzie Friend and Objects in Mirror by Tudor Robins.

Well, as it’s cold and very snowy out today, I am going to curl up by the tree and finally get some reading done! Happy Sunday!
