It was what I was looking for in the moment, after reading a dark and twisty book, but I don’t think it’s one that has made a lasting impression.

It was what I was looking for in the moment, after reading a dark and twisty book, but I don’t think it’s one that has made a lasting impression.
Overall, this was a fun book, but I wish there had been a little more action, or that it had been spread out more so that the middle didn’t feel like such a lull compared to the rest.
Morgan Matson’s books are always fun summer reads, and I was so excited to dig into this one.
The Historian was such a joy to read, and it was a reminder to me that rereading is a valuable, enjoyable activity.
I wish I had liked this more, because it’s getting a lot of love, but maybe her next book will be a hit with me.
I’m sure I’ll check out whatever novels he writes in the future, but I’m so torn on this one.
I don’t know why it took me so long to get around to reading this, because it was so good!
So I have mixed feelings about this book but if there’s a sequel I might pick it up.
