I already have the sequel, Scarlet, on my bookshelf and I can’t wait to read it!
If you’re a fan of the Pretty Little Liars series and/or looking for a fun, sassy read, I definitely recommend that you pick up this series.
I didn’t love everything in this book but it was well-written and was one of those stories where I wasn’t always sure if what was going on was in the main character’s head or not, which I enjoy. If you like a more atmospheric tale where things are left to your imagination, this might be right up your alley.
Even though there were no zombies, dragons, plagues, or ghosts, I enjoyed this book!
If you like a spooky vibe, ghosts, and a little romance thrown in, I recommend this book.
So yes, although I really didn’t love this book, I will be reading the next and final book in the series, Reached.
I didn’t dislike this book, but I didn’t love it either. It was a pleasant read, but also funny and frustrating.
This is definitely a recommended read for fans of YA historical fiction.
I definitely recommend this book (and series) for fans of supernatural YA!
