I am eagerly anticipating the next book. I think if you love historical YA fiction, this series is a must-read!
I recommend this for fans of the paranormal (although this is light on the paranormal element) and action!
While The Name of the Star was the better book for me, I still enjoyed this, I love the world and characters that Maureen Johnson has created, and I definitely recommend this series.
I really wanted to like this book, but I just couldn’t get into it.
If you’re a fan of the Pretty Little Liars series and/or looking for a fun, sassy read, I definitely recommend that you pick up this series.
I didn’t love everything in this book but it was well-written and was one of those stories where I wasn’t always sure if what was going on was in the main character’s head or not, which I enjoy. If you like a more atmospheric tale where things are left to your imagination, this might be right up your alley.
If you like a spooky vibe, ghosts, and a little romance thrown in, I recommend this book.
This is definitely a recommended read for fans of YA historical fiction.
