Just One Reader's Opinion!

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

This week’s topic is:

Top Ten Books I’ve Read in 2013

I usually go back over all my posts at the end of the year, when I’m putting together my top ten reads of the year. I’m curious to see how many of these will end up on that list!

In no particular order:

1.Unspoken: The Lynburn Legacy by Sarah Rees Brennan

I fell in love with this book. It felt fresh, and was so funny. I can’t wait for the sequel.

2. The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater

This is hands down my favourite book that I’ve read so far this year (I’ve actually read it twice!). Its sequel is my most-anticipated release, and is due out this fall.

3. The Name of the Star by Maureen Johnson

I loved this book. I’m a big Maureen Johnson fan, and while I didn’t love the book’s sequel, The Madness Underneath, as much as I loved this book, I can’t wait for the continuation of this series.

4. Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

I was so surprised by how much I loved this book! I definitely want to own my own copy so I can read it again and again.

5. Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

I loved this book, and am actually reading the sequel right now. I’m so excited to jump back into Alina’s story!

6. Just One Day by Gayle Forman

Wow the feelings I have for this book…Like Anna and the French Kiss, I’d heard so many good things about it for so long before I finally read it, and once I did, I totally fell in love with it.

7. Also Known As by Robin Benway

This book was sassy, funny, and great for easy summer reading.

8. Every Day by David Levithan

This was a book that I had a difficult time wrapping my mind around at first but it was soooo good.

9. Game by Barry Lyga

This is the sequel to I Hunt Killers, and it totally lived up to my expectations.

10. Unearthly by Cynthia Hand

I wasn’t sure about this series going in. I didn’t know if I’d like angels. Sure, I love Castiel on Supernatural, but these seemed like different angels. But I not only loved this book, I read the rest of the series as soon as I could! I was very pleasantly surprised by this one.

So those are my favourite reads so far this year! What are some of yours?
